Read and write more, anyways.

I had a nice rest today. It is Queen’s birthday. I spend almost all day in my house and doing nothing. I had to do some remote experiment a bit. But generally, I could have a nice rest.

From tomorrow, I have several things to do. The experiment is going on until this Friday. I would need to measure several samples before then. Then, the reactor will be shut down for a month so I can spend some time writing.

For science, I am lucky enough to try several experiments I have never done before, like polarized neutron scattering experiments and protein samples, currently, I am doing thermoelectric materials. The next week, I will be doing more caloric material on QENS measurement. By doing any kind of experiment techniques and science, I would learn more. It is a good opportunity to do more experiment. While I need to finish off the paper one by one. From now on, I will keep investing my time to expand my knowledge in every field I am working on so I can be knowledgeable in the next few years. I will do my best.

For the investment, this year looks critical. The price of coal is a record high in the last 10 years. That is coal mining companies. In the world, people are talking about SDGs in developed countries, however, there are huge demands from developing countries. They need coal for creating electricity and making steel. I would like to know more about investing by investing. I would try to know more about the company.

I might lose my enthusiasm these days, to be honest. My work is OK, at least I am grateful for it. I don’t mind working 9-5 weekdays. Also, I like investing in shares and looking for a good business. I used to play the guitar and learning the language but I don’t see much urgency on that I am not trying hard enough. Also, running is just my hobby but it is not improving at all. Maybe I can do is more reading in Japanese, Chinese, and English. By knowing more, I might want to try more and then finally I can find something to do to entertain myself. Then also writing. OK, writing and reading in three languages, I should set some goal for it. Let’s do it.
